Farm Yard Round Up(Alpha) - 2018-Current
Team Project - Cool Prism (GDML)
In the early months of 2018, I was working on a game which was named "Race of the Greedy Pigs" and during development we ran into an issue...

I was working on a controller for our pigs to race and my team mate at the time Joshua was not happy with the way I was developing this mechanic.

Our teacher got involved and requested in one frame I show what the game will actually look like from a birds eye perspective with no mechanics.... So I did and once done I showed the teacher and Joshua what it looked like.
Shortly after I attached the mechanics of the controller knowing what would happen but not knowing what it meant... Shortly into hitting the play button we had motion...

People in class walking by were curious and asked to play our game... It felt really awkward so we said "Sure but their is nothing here"... We were proven wrong when we saw people enjoying this in their words "Frustrating yet Satisfying" as an experience... And Farm Yard Round Up was born!

My Roles:

Designing level flow and balancing Level's
-
Designing the user experience
-
Generating builds

The lessons learned:
I would say never underestimate a single mechanic... One is enough to set you up on a path to something bigger.
I learned that trying to work a job, study and make a game was really hard considering my Job and study's took a huge toll on me during development. So make a judgement on how intense things are and will be before you make the decisions to work, study and develop.

Lead Game Designer and Programmer
Developing Farm Yard Round Up was quite a challenge, with work piling up on itself, I had to drop the game for a while with the intention to pick it up again once the work that piled up has been finished and put aside completed. To Program, Design, Study and work a intense 2 in 1 Job. I really want to Finnish this game and release it.
